We require photos of the inside and outside of your home, by submitting your application you are aware that one of our volunteers will email you for photos before moving your application on to the interview step
This is in place of a physical home check, and will require photos of each room of your home.

ASTDR is a volunteer & foster based rescue. Due to this we only consider those who are seriously interested in the pet they are applying for prior meeting them. Once approved and a pending adoption is placed on agreed on pet there is still a meet and greet with that pet and that pet only. ASTDR does not do multiple meet and greets. Do you understand that once approved for a pet we require a $100 non-refundable deposit on that pet that comes out of the adoption fee?

Do you understand that the adoption fee covers all vetting appropriate to the age of the dog. The adoption fee funds all medical care, shelter, transport, and food. The fee is not solely for the dog you are applying to adopt but for all the animals in the rescue.

Do you acknowledge that ASTDR is a volunteer ran organization, our volunteers reserve the right to deny your application if falsified information is found or if your application is incomplete or lacks effort. Please take the time to double check your application and make sure all information is correct and true. Due to high volume of applications, If any needed information is missing or there is a lack of effort in your answers from your application, it will not be processed and you will not be contacted.
